RELAX AND RESTORE AFTER THE HOLIDAYS
This workshop will begin with a gentle restorative warm-up to ease muscles and mental tension, followed by a guided Yoga Nidra session.
Yoga Nidra is a special relaxation technique which has a deep effect on the body, energies and the mind. It is an ancient, but little known practice, also known as “yogic sleep” that’s becoming increasingly popular as both a form of meditation and a mind-body therapy. Yoga Nidra is a systematic form of guided relaxation bringing you into a deep place of rest, nurturing a calm and clear mind, reducing anxiety, increasing focus and strengthening your immune system. A perfect post holiday gift to yourself. Yoga Nidra is practiced in a comfortable reclined position (savasanna). Practitioners are guided through a series of simple instructions including a detailed scan of the body and visual imagery, which occupies the mind and prevents it from becoming distracted.
Suitable for all levels and abilities, no previous experience required
This workshop will be led by Erin Williams, certified Yoga Nidra instructor.
