Recent Testimonials:

The 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program at The Yoga Room has afforded me a comprehensive, methodical, in depth approach to teaching yoga and has enriched my yoga practice both on and off the mat. Daniel & Travis are a wealth of knowledge and generously offer it to anyone with a drive to learn! I began this program solely with the intention of deepening my practice. But what I learned along the way is that I love teaching and sharing yoga with others. I am a much more confident and skilled teacher, and I wouldn’t trade a moment of this experience! I have also enjoyed my fellow students on this journey — the discussions and insights shared are invaluable. It is very stimulating to be with others who are curious and open to learning. Yoga and my reflection from this YTT program have provided me with many common threads and experiences that are guiding my life, my choices, and my attitude. This has been one of the most powerful experiences of my life, and I am so grateful.

I initially signed up for Yoga Teacher Training not knowing for sure if I was capable of becoming a teacher, or if I even wanted to teach. I soon found out this course was so enlightening about many facets of life, both on&off the yoga mat: the foundations of yoga are rooted in 1000’s of years of wisdom;our instructors,Travis and Daniel, were so willing to share all they have learned throughout their years of both teaching& practicing; yoga works for every one; I was one of the oldest in the class by far, yet was included every step of the way; completing this course has left me w a deep feeling of accomplishment & a desire to go out & share what I have learned. I highly recommend the teacher training at the Yoga Room.

I still remember the first night we meet for yoga teachers training. I was so nervous and excited at the same time. I didn’t know what to expect.. Then the teachers came and tied something to my wrist; so I thought, what is the meaning of this? Is it about the string, the number of knots? O well… But after a while I understood. I understood that it’s about community, union, trust, friendship, and love.
It was the beginning of a journey. A journey that turn out to be one of the best adventures of my life. A journey into the self. It began with a group of people that wanted to learn, to make a difference. I am so grateful to have shared this experience with incredible people from who I have leaned so much and have share great moments some fun, some challenging, and lots of yoga practice!
We shared thoughts and feelings with respect, we have created a bond that goes beyond ego and ideologies.
Thru this journey we were guided by the best teachers Daniel Head and Tavis Eliot. Each brought a unique perspective to the art of teaching a yoga practice. So much wisdom, knowledge, patience, and dedication. For whom my heart is filled with appreciation.
As I look back at this journey; looking deep inside of me turned out to be the scariest part, I have confronted difficult memories and heal them. I took a close look to my fears and then set them free, I feel renewed and light. I am content with myself just the way I am.
In the end I have discovered that yoga is my way to express love. Love to God, and to others that love that it’s shared through kindness, compassion, no judgement, and acceptance. It was the beginning of a ripple….

Sometimes things just fall into place so beautifully. After waiting a decade to go through a Teacher Training program, I finally pulled the trigger and committed to doing something for myself. I couldn’t have picked a better place and time!  Daniel Head is an incredible teacher and mentor. He will mold, shape, challenge and push you to your edge. Every idea you’ve ever had about what a yoga teacher is, will be put into perspective. To top it off he does it with such a great amount of patience and kindness, that you actually thank him for breaking you down, mentally and physically! Travis Elliott is sure to not disappoint either! This man has knowledge of this ancient practice that will definitely make you rethink how, when and why you practice yoga. These two create such an amazing balance!  But the really amazing part comes in with the other students. The bond you are able to create with these other like minded individuals is beyond explanation. My words would never be enough to convey how they helped turn a 200 hour lesson into a life changing experience. You just have to experience it yourself!

Maybe you want to teach yoga, maybe you want to learn more about the practice just for yourself, maybe you’ve toyed with the idea but never committed to it, because you weren’t sure if the time would be worth it. Rest assured, it is worth it, every class, every hour studying, every practice session, every breakdown and every celebration, it’s all worth it!
