This will be a closed group workshop (with a max of 15 students total!) as it is very intensive, hands on (for me) and prop heavy. A lot of individual attention will be given. So if you are serious, don’t wait, be sure and register early! It is labelled advanced, so you must know yourself. You do not need to be able to “balance” a handstand effortlessly, it is not a requirement. Plenty of people can press into handstand, but fall out at the top…HOWEVER, it is important that you already be familiar with handstand, AND be able to hold your own body weight in a handstand easily (with or without a wall). If you are unsure whether you are even ready for this, don’t count yourself out, PLEASE come and speak with me. People that can already press are also welcome as we will not only spend time learning many basic techniques used to find that initial press, but also some fun presses to handstand from arm-balances such as Crow, One leg crow & Firefly. Props will be provided, but if you have your own blocks and/or (non stretchy) strap feel free to bring them! Please also bring socks(recommended) or small towel for sliding. Pressing to Handstand is a very humbling process, so don’t bring any expectations, just some playfulness and an open mind.
