Come learn the techniques used to effectively align the body in various backbends.
Back-bending poses are incredibly good for opening the mind and body. These poses not only increase mobility, raise energy levels and stimulate the nervous system, but they also encourage a deep practice of kindness and patience with the body.
Expect to work many basic backbends such as Cobra/Updog, Bridge, Wheel and Camel…And also some of the more advanced poses such as King Pigeon, King Dancer, King Cobra and Scorpions!
We will also spend time stretching out the 4 main areas of the body (hip flexors, chest, shoulders and triceps) needed in order to explore your own backbend potential.
The use of props will be encouraged, so if you have your own blocks/strap feel free to bring them!
No experience necessary. New and old students looking to deepen their practice or anyone looking to get personal feedback on their backbends should sign up.
