New to Yoga?

We’re Here to Help!

Just Show Up!

We’re nice! No really. Our best advice is don’t over think it. Just show up! We have a class that will fit your schedule and your level.

We have a full staff of professional, certified instructors, with over 80 years of teaching experience, that are eager to get you started on your yoga journey. If you have time to scroll through your Facebook news feed, you have time for yoga.

Listed on this page you will find suggested classes to start with. BUT you do not need to climb the “staircase of levels”. Please try different classes and different teachers to find your right fit.

What to Expect

Do not eat right before class. It is best to refrain from a big meal 2 hours before class.  Your first few classes may be a bit confusing until you become familiar with the movements. We want to remind you; yoga and judgment are like oil and water, they do not mix. Please keep an open, loving mind, remember no one is judging you.

Respect your body’s limits, take a child’s pose when your body says to “take a child’s pose”. If you feel emotionally upset during or after a yoga session, bid them welcome! Sometimes releasing tension in the body releases emotions too.

What to Bring

You’ll want to start with comfortable clothing; lightweight pants or crops work well, paired with a tighter fitting tank or t-shirt (too loose and it may fall up when you are in down dog). We do go into the studio barefoot (shoes stay in the lobby).

Bring

  • A yoga mat
  • A bottle of water (it is important to stay hydrated before, during and after classes)
  • A hand towel
  • A mat towel/beach towel (if you are taking one of the hotter classes)

Your class will start promptly; with or without you. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early.
