I\'d like to express my gratitude to The Yoga Room for helping me find my way back to yoga, and ultimately myself. Creative and challenging classes, moving meditation with Daniel, and fantastic soundtracks keep me flowing and coming back for more!
I really like the new lines on the wall. Helps folks figure out where to put their mats. Thanks.
On this Thanksgiving season, as I count my blessings, I want to make sure that I send my gratitude to You, my Yoga Room family...
I AM GRATEFUL...for my practice. What started as a desperate measure to relieve pain has become a part of my life.YOGA is my therapist, my time to let it all out and to let it be. It\'s my challenge. There are days when it\'s much easier to stay in bed. There are many excuses I can think of each day not to drive 30miles to the studio. But I crawl out of bed, I fight those thoughts, I fight the lure of my pillow,I fight the calling of my iPhone (and fb). And when I unroll my mat, when I curl into my first child\'s pose, when I dig my fingers on the mat for that first downward dog, that all familiar feeling comes back, that feeling of being present, that feeling of letting go. Hearing my breath and moving my body. The moving meditation. It all comes together, and then I realize why I do this everyday. THANKS to the guy up there who helped me find this. Yoga has helped me find my way back to HIM...OM...Namaste
I have been a student at the Yoga Room for over 2 years. I was looking for something to help fulfill my life on a personal level. I needed physical and spiritual health. I found it! I submeged myself in the practice of Yoga. I read everything I could get my hands on. Not only did I find a varity of Instructors that offered encouragement with varied techniques and personalites but I found peace and serenity that I could apply to my personal and professional life. I was able to maneuver myself through several life changing events with the assistance of the qualities I have acquried by breathing and living in the moment. For the first time ever I was able to focus on ME. So grateful for this priceless practice and the guidance of these special people. I opted for private lessons from Lisa Vest (highly recommend these)and continue to take a varity of instructors. This will be a lifelong practice for me. I encourage anyone seeking what their life is missing to pursue a personal practice of Yoga. Live in the moment! Namaste..
Love the Yoga Room! So grateful for the time I got to spend while I was there visiting and enjoyed all the classes from everyone there. I built a great foundation and love for yoga. The live music classes that Daniel instructed were incredible. Thank you Daniel, Kelly, Lisa, Ivy, Nicole and to everyone else! You all are awesome and missed. Now I am back down in Santa Monica enjoying Bryan Kest\'s Power Yoga classes. All the best to you...
I have been athletic all my life. I have been on softball, volleyball, and roller hockey teams. I\'ve been into moutain biking, scuba, and backpacking (pre kids and family). I\'ve been a gym rat, aerobics instructor, and the last few years running half marathons. So when a friend told me to try yoga,I thought, sure why not? How hard can it be? Yoga is the most challenging thing I\'ve done. I wanted to muscle my way through things. I wanted to compete. When I learned to let go, breathe, and listen to my body, things started changing. The BEST decision I\'ve made in so far as my health and welfare are concerned. In the 10 months since I have started at the Yoga Room, my body, mind and spirit have been transformed. I am stronger, leaner, more flexible and calmer than I have ever been, including when I was younger. I know arm balances and handstands are in my future, but I am so loving my journey now. Thank you to ALL the instructors! You are all fantastic! Namaste.
I am from Thailand to visit my daughter and she took me to the Yoga Room to continue my yoga practice . This is my first time to attend yoga class in USA . But I have attended yoga class in Bangkok 3-5 classes a week for over 3 years. I do really enjoy the class with Danial even it\'s too exaulted sometimes and the music is too loud and noisy. I don\'t quiet understand the logic to have rock music with yoga here.
Anyway, I like the class here and I like the studio except the music.
Awsome experience today during Daniel\'s class in the morning, it was like I was meeting myself after a long time of separation... yes there were tears. I felt awsome!
Love love love the Yoga Room! Am anxious to hear when Kellie\'s Boot Camp class is going to start:)
Looking forward to the 5:30 class:)
I took the opportunity to experience Studio B on Saturday and I have to say it was amazing. Although I do love the heat level and the feel of the main room, studio B (blue room) has it charms and benefits. When I need a little less heat and need my room to stretch out too, I am grateful for this awesome alternative. I recommend this room for anyone new that might be afraid of how they will react to the heat, or anyone needing some stretching/breathing room. There is still a group synergy, and you still get live feed of the audio from the main room (music and Daniels voice). I even recommend this room to all current students, just to try out and see how it feels.
Thank you Daniel and Shawna!! :o)
Yoga is great.....upon entrance to the room it is so noisy with people talking, laughing,shouldn\'t this be a time for quietness getting ready for yoga?
I MISS THIS YOGA ROOM SOOOO MUCH!! i\'ve been searching for a great place to \'flow.\' i miss my Yoga room Down South. I have your video which is nice but i miss that awesome wooded floor room and the local yogis! If i move back, i look forward to seeing you all at the end of March! hope all is well!
I love your classes so much! I also feel a great sense of community. I just wish you were closer! Redlands is not that bad of a drive but oh how I wish I could just ride my bike to class. Ever think about expanding to Riverside? I guess Ill just have to continue to brave the 215 at rush hour, your classes are worth it!
The Yoga Room, it's instructors, and its community of yogis provide the ultimate environment to simply LET GO of the world and FREE the MIND. When I first started, it seemed impossible to ever build up the strength and stamina to get through an entire class. I couldn't do a push-up, touch my toes or even fathom balancing in inversions. But I kept going, and I keep going, and it keeps getting better and better. So to any beginner out there, PLEASE keep coming back! I promise, you will get stronger and you will feel better than you ever have in your life. Make a commitment to yourself to just come and unroll your mat and everything else will evolve from there!
I love that the Yoga Room is a place of encouragement versus competition. We are all on our own path of enlightenment, and we'll get there in our own time, in our own way. Thank you to all of the Yoga Room staff and fellow yogis for lighting and guiding the way. Namaste!
Just over three years of going to The Yoga Room for me. Daniel and Shawna have changed my life so much. At first I thought that yoga was just too simple of a work out, then after attending I thought I was just too out of shape to continue, but so glad I did. From the board room to the basketball court, to family relationships, yoga now fits into every situation in my life. Thank you to The Yoga Room for helping me see that my life could change for the better and for helping make that happen...
I take one yoga class a week as a treat to myself; it my opportunity to reconnect my mind, body, and soul on my mat. I recently moved to Orange County, and although I found a studio I enjoy, it does not hold a candle to Daniel' classes. I was in town this weekend and was able to attend Daniel's Saturday class; HEAVEN!!!!!! Thank you Daniel for reminding why I love coming home :)
Dear Shawna & Daniel, Thank you for adding Kellie Houston to The Yoga Room staff. As you both know, she has many strengths as instructor. To list a few; well-planned classes, energetic music, and great member connections. However, the reason I am glad she has joined your studio is her gift for encouraging members to take risks. In her classes she introduces challenging postures with a plan for whole class success. Her supportive attitude not only makes the difficult seem less intimidating, but it filters out into her classes. Her members encourage one-another, and there is a sense of comradery in the room. A Kellie Houston class is the type of class that breaks down the wall of fear that the average person has built up against yoga. It's a class that makes you want to come back because you have seen normal people do postures you expect only out of athletic-dancer types. It is a class where the teacher knows her student's names, what they can do, and where she wants them to go with their individual practice. And again, her class is a class that makes you want to come back! Thank you again for adding Kellie to your staff! ;-) Heidi A. Froehlich
Barbara's classes are wonderful - I feel like a new person every time I walk out of her class. She is so graceful and encouraging! She teaches something new each class, from breathing technique to pose variations. I was new to yoga but practicing for a 5 months now, my flexibility is much improved and its really benefited my endurance sports, my times are better and best of all I'm injury and pain free.Best to Barbara and the entire staff, it was a great experience - now I'm hooked! Thank you :)
I can not be grateful enough for The Yoga Room!!! From day one I was addicted to the entire experience....yoga practice has not just improved strength and flexibility but it also helped to reduce my stress and improve my spiritual life. I truly appreciate how the instructors share their love for yoga practice and mindfulness. THANK YOU YOGA ROOM!!!
11:00 Community class - Today was my first time ever doing a yoga class. Not sure how to express how it felt. It was like my mind and heart and body all had to try and reach each other for the first time. It was a bit of a struggle, but a goal I truly desire to accomplish!Kwi Vasquez
Daniel, when I was living in Redlands your yoga studio was an inspiration and a start on my path to yoga. Today I live in SF and practice in one of the best studios. I am training with Janet Stone to become a teacher. All of it began with your influence...so I thank you. Om ShantiVania
Literally life-altering classes! Thank you.
